Houston needs replacement cars. Looks like VW has lots of them parked at Colorado Springs. Can we work out something here? Quick fix, maybe down and dirty as they say, but could help people get back to being mobile.

Someone at VW seems to think the demand for diesels is out there. When I went to turn in my TDI and look at the AllTrack, the dealer had 2015's ready for sale (first stage of fix done; second stage to happen later). They wanted the same $ for a used 2015 diesel w/15,000 miles as a new 2017 Sportwagen. Whaaaaa??? Used? With only part of a fix that will have unknown effects done?

Very little, actually. They started as a station wagon and a boxy SUV, but over the years they have converged.

Dimensions/appearance primarily.
The "big engine" option differs between the two. Forester gets turbo 4. Outback gets a 6.

Compact vs midsize, it's pretty clear when you look at the cargo floor length behind 2nd row.

I was very excited to find out that my 163cm skis fit in the back of my friend's crosstrek with PLENTY of room to spare. Thinking the 170 and 177cm skis will be fine too. I love, love, love my jeep but I'm also fascinated by the cross trek. Must look into the brightest boldest color I can find and I think it'll be Not changing my vanity plate so I guess I'll either have to drive around without a shirt on or just keep my sunroof open all the time A little bummed my wranger duratrac tires don't fit on here so I'll need as equally as good of a tire. Not getting rid of el jeep anytime soon but I love cars so always thinking about what's next..... Of course there's always the option of paying my Jeep off, keeping it and getting a cross trek. I also heart miatas. I think I just need to win powerball.

I replaced my '08 LLB OBW with this a couple of weeks ago. At just under 180K miles it was time to update before more major problems set in; and we need a reliable vehicle for our upcoming road trip year (relatives in NM, 2x to Park City, others?) I'm pretty happy with it, tranny noise? Didn't even notice it. I don't have the super fancy stereo, but it supports both USB drives full of MP3 files (which works awesomely) and also various iPod models. Is it worth the money to buy an iPod and update your music collection? I think I figured out that a 16GB memory stick would hold something like over 250 albums...

After several weeks of driving back and forth to work (mostly) with a few short trips (over to Costco), I'm getting about 6 - 7 MPG better than I did with the 3.0L 6 cyl in the previous car, and this one burns regular instead of premium which I pulled off right before Moonbeam hiked the gas tax.

Oh, and yes it passed the test - I can put the skinny side back seat down and a pair of 185cm GS boards (in bag, with poles) will fit in there. Yay!

This was also a CPO dealership rental car, just over 3500 miles (no, that's not missing any zeros...)

So far the USB stick is working out great, I should have all my Joe Satriani uploaded by tonight. And, I'm pretty sure anyway, that I can sit at the root folder and click Shuffle and it will randomly play songs from the entire collection. Just the ticket for driving to Utah!!!
