Already planning our year's end trip to Tremblant. We would like to stay in the Village but realize we might not be able to.

In case we can't get ski-out lodging I'm wondering about public parking. Does it exist, how much is it and how much of a pain is it?

I would encourage you to book lodging well in advance. We looked into Tremblant for that time in 2020 with just about a month's lead time and the only rooms available in the village were super pricey. We decided that if we couldn't stay in the village it was not worth going there. I have been twice and was in village both times.

Have you thought about Quebec...a wonderful place to spend NYE and great skiing nearby.

There is paid parking at the bottom of the south side. Free parking on the north. Any free parking on the south side is full by 7am. Book slope side if you can. Buses run from the overflow lots too. But PITA if you have kids.

Is the South Side better? Is that where the Village is? Prices are already brutal for ski-in ski-our accommodations. Are the overflow lots free or paid?

Not to be pedantic but you mean Quebec City I suspect..or Ville de Quebec..
.

Great New Years Eve in the City. 2020 was off to such a promising start! We spent 2 nights in the city and then moved out to Ste. Anne for 2 nights.

I love Quebec City. Beautiful city, great people, Le Massif and MSA close by.

Free market. I've said before I think..we booked a place in Ireland with high rates..we figured it was busy..but when we got there it was apparent it was not very busy. I think part of this is simply capitalism. Charge what the market will bear. If it wasn't worth $150/night to us, we wouldn't book it. We'd do a hotel or something else. Unharnessed capitalism can be an ugly thing..

So we booked a place near the resort (unfortunately not in the pedestrian village) for Dec 28-Jan 1. It's listed as being in "Mont-Tremblant", which I guess is a small municipality ~12km south of the actual ski resort.

Anyone have any advice on how to best manage crowds and avoid lift lines?

We have Ikon passes FWIW. Our general preference would be to be on blue runs most of the time with the occasional foray onto blacks.

TIA

@Jilly will know.

My knowledge is old, from around 17 years ago during a crowded March week. There were long lines to get up the hill from the village base in the morning. Either get there early or wait until 10am. Once the morning rush cleared out it wasn't bad. Unless you wanted to come back over to the village side from the other base near the end of the day. I forget which is versant nord and versant sud. Then you are looking at extremely long lines building in the afternoon as people head back towards the village.

Again, this was 17 years ago. Hopefully they have figured out how to alleviate the situation.

Park on the north side. When you come into the resort, don't turn into the parking areas....just keep going past the 4 way stop. You hit another traffic circle at the Casino, go around. At the T intersection turn left.
Then you'll be ahead of the crowd trying to get out of the base on the south side. North side is better skiing. Duncan takes you to the top. Expo is 1/2 way. My first run of the day is usually Petit Bonheur. A green that goes 1/2 down from the top. Good warm up. Go back to the top on the Lowell Thomas, hit Beauchemin and go past the Lowell Thomas and hit the Edge chair.

It'll be a zoo, but, see you there!!

PM me the name of the place and I'll see what else you might need to know.

Whatever you do don't miss the
New Years Eve party.

We stayed at a very small inexpensive condo in the village. One of the families in our group stayed way down the village on the lift which was ok, but they would usually drive up at night. The parking spots at south free up for après.

If you are going to drive I would guess that North is much better. They have great soup at the lodge, of course any soup is good when its frigid every day. Agree that Nord has the good terrain and Le Edge is cool.
