Hello
I am going to purchase the Fischer ranger 116
I can’t decide what length
Mainly want it was a powder ski but keen for versatility as well
Weighing up between 187 and 193

I am 6foot2 and x racer skier and weight approx 88kg

what length do you think?

I'm your height, and 200 pounds, and owned the previous 115 Ranger in 188.

I'd go with the 186 if you're a tree guy, and the 193 if your focus is on open skiing.

@Marker is another guy on this site that has a fair bit of time on the 115s, so maybe he will weigh in.

As you can see in my avatar, I ski a 115 Xti from 2018 in 188 cm. ;) This model was stiffer than the 115 FR, but not sure how they compare to the new 116.

I'm 6'6", 225 lb, but just a humble intermediate skiing on the east coast. I use these on what passes for our powder days. We don't have wide open terrain to let a 193 run so I got the 188. Other largish folks I know out here also tend to ski the <190 model of powder/wide skis for the maneuverability. As I age like @Tom K. even the 188 is a handful in our tighter eastern terrain. Since you mentioned versatility, I'd guess the 187 would be better for you.
