Sad news indeed. Black Mountain was the 1st place I ever skied - in February of 1961!
Went back there for the 1st time since then on a Thursday morning last February.
There were maybe 10 cars in the parking lot, and the snow was like crumbling concrete.
Gone like so many other smallish New England areas I've skied over the years.

Last season was brutal for a lot of east coast ski areas, but I imagine the smaller ski areas felt it the most.

Yep. Looks like Indy stepped up to help. Glad for Black. Hoping lots of folks go ski there this winter.
