Hi All!
EDITED TO ADD:
I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY A GENEROUS MEMBER WHO CHOOSES TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS, WHO IS GOING TO PICK UP THE TAB FOR THE PRIVATE ROOM!

As many of you know, I work for Snowbasin on a very limited basis. I have been able to secure us a private room inside the main lodge (Earl's Lodge--The Huntington Room, for those familiar) for a very good price. However, as much as I'd love to float the cost of this room until the gathering, I just can't. Depending on how many attend, I anticipate the cost to be between $5 and $10 per person for both days. For comparison, the bag check in the basement of Earl's Lodge is anywhere from $3.50 to $5 per day depending on how big of a basket you need. We'd also have private dining in the Huntington Room, and they've offered to bring in a bar just for us for après' ski.

Please comment below in the same fashion as the roll call thread if you plan to attend the Snowbasin days, and would commit to paying $5 to $10 up front. Then I can reserve the room. IF I don't get enough interest, I'll have to let the idea go. Or if someone else has deeper pockets than I do and wants to gather funds later, then by all means, step forward and I'll do the rest of the leg work

I know these kinds of things can get messy really fast, but this really is worth having available to us.

Well, it appears we have an anonymous donor who is will to sponsor the room! That being said, I'd still love to get a Snowbasin roll call anyway. It'll help if I work to set up any official mountain tours and try to swing any other perks.

Thanks for the volunteer work and thinking ahead. As someone from the NE, where we don't have any of this ridiculous lodge / bag dictatorship bs, I'm reluctant on principle. But after I sleep on it I'm sure I'll turn around and pitch in. Just had to do my old man with the stick thing first. :)

Kudos to "anonymous donor!"

I'm in for one of the Snowbasin days, most likely Monday. I'm spending 5 days in the Powder/Snowbasin area with a group of other guys for our own little annual gathering and for now that Sunday is penciled in as a non downhill ski day. I'll also be doing a few days at Alta/Snowbird.

AmyPJ, could/would you share the cost of the room?
