Base Flattening

Does it make more sense to flatten bases at the end of the season, or the beginning of next season? They will be stored standing straight up against the wall. Either way they will be sharpened and waxed before storage.

Beginning.

If you flatten at the end, gravity and temperature will distort the flatness by micrometers in the months it's in storage.

Or nanometers before a resident scientist gets all nitpicky on me.
