never a lot of traffic on this site from our region, I think a bump is a good idea as title seems to fit

currently snowing pretty hard at Whistler, Baker looks whiter when you can see it.
snow will still build and shrink but season is fast approaching.
winterized the boats ,put a ski box on, even considered putting on the snows,
but as the leaves are still on and grass growing that can wait for about another 3 weeks.
have a good year and hope to ski with some of you this year

Mt. Hood Meadows has announced that they'll be opening the Hood River Express a half hour earlier (8:30 as opposed to 9:00) than the rest of the mountain on peak days. This seems like a great way to encourage traffic into the HRM lot, and better balance the overall parking. And for those motivated enough to make it onto the mountain that early, it's a bonus 30-minute head start on the crowds. I just hope they clearly communicate which "peak days" they'll be doing this... if they have people showing up before 8:00 am ready for first chair at 8:30, they're going to be pretty frustrated if they have to just sit and cool their heels for an extra half hour.

beautiful sunrise over Baker right now. It's the last time it's going to be visible for a while. May even be a dusting of snow to sea level by next week
(unlikely) but the base certainly will be building in the Alpine.
for those of you planning a little road tripping away from your usual hills you might save a bit by picking up a Louise Card,
107 cdn 1,4,7th day cumulative are free. $20 off all other days.
good at Silver Star, Revy Lake Louise Castle and Red. Kicking Horse is linked with RCR. Combined they make a very nice loop.

Stoke is building although it may be too early. Crystal picked up around 7 inches Wednesday night through Thursday which was in line with the forecast amounts.

Current forecast says 7-13 inches for Saturday night into Sunday...just wish it would be about 10 degrees warmer.

Baker picked up 15" overnight and is one similar dump away from opening according to their web site. We're looking out the window at 3" at sea level in town. No melting in the forecast. Exactly one week ago it was summer-like at the ski area.

Forecast for Crystal is now up to 12-18 inches through Sunday, but at even cooler temps. I want some spackle, dammit!

Crystal Mountain on Facebook this morning talking about how much more snow they need:
It depends on the temps and density of the snow but 6-12" would be the minimum. We're just one storm away!

Stevens Pass:

We're tentatively scheduled to open Nov. 17, however this is contingent upon sufficient snow accumulation and snowfall to open and operate the resort. Please stay tuned, and we will let everyone know when we know.
